DAG ROX ist der Mann hinter den Pariser Kultpartys BUTCHERIE CHEVALINE und CROCODILE, und die sind momentan schlicht und ergreifend das HOT! HOT! HOT! der dortigen Nu Disco Szene. Die beiden Queer/Straight/We don’t care Partys ziehen mit ihrem “Homo Pop Hetero Flexible Nü Disco Electro Sound” (sic!) alle 2 Wochen eine schillernde Mischung aus Indie Boys, Disco Bärchen und Candy Girls unter Ihren Mirrorball. Eingeladen werden Projekte wie Acid Washed, Blackstrobe oder auch gerne gleich ganze Gay Collectives, wie Flash Cocotte oder Middlegender. Und der gute Lucien (wie er mit bürgerlichem Namen heißt) weiß auf beiden Partys genau die passenden Sets hinzulegen, und die sind wirklich verdammt sexy. Hört mal rein:

Wer ein wenig Durchblick im bundesweiten Queer Clubgeschehen der letzten Jahre hat, der kennt mit Sicherheit das legendäre Hotel Shanghai in Essen, der Club der seit 2004 stets mit ungewöhnlichen Partykonzepten, Bookings und kleinen Skandalen überrascht. Seit einem Jahr neu ist der Queer Nu Disco Weekly LOLLYWOOD – ungelogen so ziemlich das geilste was die westdeutsche Clubszene momentan zu bieten hat. Einen großen Beitrag dazu leistet D.E.R. (aka Doubleeveilrabid) als LOLLYWOOD Resident. Mit einem frischen und äußerst coolen Mix aus Nu Disco, Classics, Electro und smarten Indie Pop Remixen, brennt er sein Publikum jede Woche gekonnt nieder … und ist nebenbei auch optisch eine Augenweide.

Und natürlich ist auch unser Resident BOMB BOUTIQUE wieder mit von der Partie um unserem Deathstar Disco Ball mit seinem äußerst smarten Italectrodisco Set den ein oder anderen zusätzlichen Drive verpassen wird.

It was freezing and slippery in Berlin when we had our first MIRROR MIRROR in January. Outside only though, deep down in our cellar we turned the heat up with pumping disco grooves from 1975-2010. Everybody was frolic, groovy and ready for something new, and something new is what you shall get this saturday again. Heavily glittering guests from Paris are arriving …

The Queer/Straight/We don’t care Nights are drawing with their “Homo Pop Hetero Flexible Nü Disco Electro Sound” (sic!) every two weeks a dazzling mix of indie boys, disco bearlies and candy girls under their mirrorball. Guests are acts such as Acid Washed, Blackstrobe or even whole gay collectifs as for instance Flash Cocotte or Middlegender. Those who are familiar with the queer nightlife of the last years know for sure the legendary Hotel Shanghai, that club in Essen which surprises the scene since 2004 with unconventional party concepts, audacious bookings and just the right amount of scandals. A year ago they started the Queer Nu Disco Weekly LOLLYWOOD which is right now the place to be (or should i say the night to dance?) in the whole area, and resident D.E.R. (aka Doubleevilrabid) is the man who contributes the sound for it. Nonchalant, he is pleasing everybody with a süpersexy mix of nu disco, classics, electro and cool indie pop remixes … and by his presence, the beau he is.

And who will make sure that our Deathstar Disco Ball keeps turning and turning? You’re right, dammit! Mr. BOMB BOUTIQUE with his very smart Italectrodisco set.
